Empty Bowls

Join us for Empty Bowls 2025!

Friday, November 7 at 6 pm

This annual event is a fundraiser to support our mission-based initiatives and programs to feed those experiencing hunger in our neighborhood.

The concept for this event is simple—a simple soup dinner, served in a handcrafted bowl the guest has chosen and kept as an unspoken reminder that somewhere someone’s bowl is empty. By charging a donation fee for entrance to this event, we are able to fill the bowl of someone in need in our community.

Empty Bowl events are held nationally to generate awareness concerning hunger and to raise money for local hunger-relief programs. Proceeds from this event will benefit St. Mark’s and St. John’s food justice initiatives like our Food Shelf distribution and our Urban E.D.E.N. Gardens that allow us to grow food for our neighbors. Our Food Shelf distribution is consistently serving around 400 individuals each month, and we are in need of funds to help sustain the costs to run this program. In 2024, we raised over $4,000 - will you help us surpass that fundraising goal?
